Troulos, Skiathos

Swimming off the coast of Troulos

Troulos is a small resort that lies on the south coast of Skiathos, just a few minutes east of Koukounaries. The area has been growing in popularity of the last few years and there has been much development, however, Troulos remains a peaceful destination.

The main part of Troulos is set back from the coast amongst the olive groves and farmland, giving the area a rustic charm.

Troulos is named after the tiny island that lies just off the coast called 'Troulonissia' and affords visitors a fabulous vista across the sea. This area really is a photographer's dream.

However, it is the beach that is the principal attraction to Troulos. This crescent of golden yellow sand is gently lapped by the crystal clear, aqua marine waters of the Aegean Sea.

For those that like to go exploring, there are several small coves and bays nearby that can be discovered via the pathways that lead through the coastal woodland. However, the easiest access to these bays is by boat.
